Mark Fickett Art: Digital Design Foundations

front page for digital design foundations site

This is the front page for a site I wrote both to display work and as a demonstration for how to hand-code web sites. The subsection links (at left) show their titles on mouseover. The design's most obvious flaw is that the main element sits in the lower left, and looks rather lost in large windows.

It is one of the most graphically designed sites I've made, but maintains a focus — especially given its double purpose as a tutorial — on standards compliance. That said, although it's available here (as of 2008 Aug 08), it doesn't quite render the same across all browsers (any more).
